AHS Equestrian Team

The Raider Riders Welcome You!

The Results Are In!

Saturday November 8th

The Raider Riders received 4th place out of 7 teams.  Rivendell was the big winner with Milton High School as reserved champion.  Congratulations to the following riders!

    Alaina Stumpf -- 5th Varsity  Flat, 5th O/F

    Katie Thomas  -- 4th Intermediate Flat; 4th O/F

    Abby Brown  --  6th Intermediate Flat, 2nd O/F

Lauren Cofield -- 4th Intermediate Flat

Bekah Ingram -- 5th JV Flat

    Dani Domnaur  -- 5th JV Flat; 4th O/F

Nicole Garcia -- 3rd JV Beginner Flat

Most classes had 10 - 11 riders in them plus most had split classes as well.
There were approximately 120 rides that day -- lots of  competition!

Thanks to everyone that helped out -- Kimberly & Hallie for schooling in the
morning.  Alex for helping hold horses.  Everyone else for pitching in with
food, etc.  We appreciate all the help!

Saturday November 15th

We don't have the specifics but Alpharetta took 2nd place!  Congratulations Raiders!

Saturday November 22nd

Congratulations to Alpharetta for receiving Champion at this weekend's horse show!  A win well deserved.

Holy Innocents and Forsyth Central tied for Reserve Champion, but Forsyth Central won the title because they had two first place team finishes while Holy Innocents had one.

Congratulations to Meredith Frobose from South Forsyth who won the Sportsmanship Award for this Saturday's show.

We loved the T-Shirt vendor who was present.  The Raider Riders gained $250 (20% of gross sales).  Judging from their success we plan to use them again at Regionals.  So you will have another chance to take home some fantastic souvenirs!

 Saturday January 24th

The AHS Equestrian Team competed on Saturday, at Evermore Stables near Statesboro.  The team placed third over all with the following members placing individually.

Abby Brown, 1st place over fences, 4th place flat

Katie Thomas, 2nd place over fences, 3rd place flat

Hallie Canada, 1st place over fences, 4th place flat

Alex Edquist, 3rd place over fences, 2nd place flat

Dani Domnaur, 2nd place over fences, 3rd place flat

    Kimberly Loushin, 5th place flat

Congratulations to all of the riders and to all of those who helped out.  Great job ladies!

 Saturday January 31st

Thank you to Alaina for meeting Jonna at 5:45 AM to pick up horses for the show, and thank you Hallie for being at the show early to help school at 7:30 AM (it was really cold!).  A very special thank you to Kimberly for taking the horses back to Rising Fawn with Jonna.  Another special thanks to MaryRose and Katie for coming to help out and support the team!

The team did not place as far as I could tell but we had a lot of riders
that did well.  It appears the judge liked our team's "Flat"  performance.

Show places:

Kimberly Loushin:  5th Varsity  O/F, 1st Varsity Flat

Lindsey Bell:  2nd Junior Varsity Novice Flat

Bekah Ingram: 1st Junior Varsity Novice Flat

Dani Domnauer: 4th Junior Varsity Novice Flat

Nicole Garcia: 1st Junior Varsity Beginner Flat

Alden Giles: 2nd Junior Varsity Beginner Flat

If I missed anyone, please accept my apologies and let me know.

Again, thank you Jonna for another great day.  Anne Marie Darr  will update
the spreadsheet so we can see how many riders have qualified for  regionals.

Great job team!
